| Lovina
is belong to Kabupaten Buleleng administrative
area, and is today known with various Lovina
hotels and restaurants. Further west to
Lovina Beach is Pemuteran area has also
developed as tourist resort. with a number
of known as Pemuteran hotels or higher grade
Lovina hotels. It is not clear what is the
origin of the name Lovina, as the name Lovina
is used to refer an area along the beach
which is consist of traditional villages
of Tukad Mungga, the eastern most of Lovina,
Anturan and Kalibukbuk, now central Lovina,
and Temukus the western most Lovina. Today
Lovina hotels are available from simple
Lovina hotels, medium category Lovina hotels,
and deluxe Lovina hotels. It is probably
2 things that attracted people to built
hotels or resorts at Lovina. First the need
of hotels for the base of diving in Menjangan
island as well as hotels for overnight for
Bali round trip tour. For Bali round trip
tour, Lovina is good timing of itinerary
for overnight. Secondly was the need of
more quiet places to stay for the really
need a total relax and retreat. Lovina beach
does not have white sand beach, and the
beach is narrow black sand. What is now
known as Lovina hotels area between the
highland stretches from west Bali to the
east has been famous for it's agricultural
product of grapes, besides also produces
rice. While Pemuteran hotels area is not
previously as fertile as Lovina hotels area.
At Pemuteran area the beach is the same
and plain land, narrow backed by mountainous
area which are barren. From Lovina to Pemuteran
takes 25 minutes drive passing famous temple
of Grokgak. What was the main interest in
Pemuteran, it was more or less the same
as Lovina, while Pemuteran area is more
closer to Menjangan island. The development
of diving activity put Menjangan island
even as popular as Tulamben.
Additional advantage to Pemuteran hotels
compared to Lovina hotels is that Pemuteran
is a perfect base for exploring Bali Barat
National Park, famous with it's endemic
white starling birds or " Jalak Bali"
Today both Lovina and Pemuteran developed
various hotels, from very simple Pemuteran
hotels, medium Pemuteran hotels up to deluxe
Pemuteran hotels. Some medium Pemuteran
hotels and deluxe Pemuteran hotels are listed
and on-line above. While small Pemuteran
hotels or simple Pemuteran hotels and Lovina
hotels do not specifically offered to traveler,
unless we got a real guarantee that traveler
can accept the physical and facility conditions.
Central Lovina has the most various and
big number of simple hotels. Important note
is that both Lovina and Pemuteran have higher
temperature and higher moisture level. Pemuteran
area has more luxurious hotels such as Matahari
Beach, Mimpi Resort, and Aneka Bagus Hotel,
while Lovina has only Puri Bagus Hotel.
In Pemuteran there is no shop or restaurant
nearby the hotels unlike along the area
of Lovina where shops, restaurants and some
night life are available just meters from
hotels
BALI BARAT NATIONAL PARK
Covers around 19,000 hectares of West Bali,
home to endemic Bali white starling birds.
From Lovina takes 1 hour drive to the office
of park head quarter at the road junction
at Cekik village. Everyone who want to enter
the park must get a permit from the office,
and a special guide will be provided. The
entrance to the park is at Labuhan Lalang.
If only visiting Menjangan island there
is no need to get permit at Cekik unless
trekking to the forest or the breeding site
of white birds. If it is only visiting the
Menjangan or diving around Menjangan island

before embarking the motorized. wooden boat.
West Bali Barat National park is believed
