Thank
you very much for your precious time to
read this booklet and your desire to obtain
information on Bali Tourism especially on
Badung Regency’s places of interest.
We understand, that in such a book, it could
no possible to meet all tourism information
demand on our area , embracing various aspect
like local tradition, art and culture, tourism
object and attraction as well as tourist
facilities completely.
Through this booklet we would like to try
to present the general idea of Bali’s tourism
potencies and it’s beauty, mainly about
tourism object and attraction in Badung
Regency and hopefully every visitor coming
to our region could enjoy his holiday easier
and more conveniently. We believe, after
you come to Bali, then explore its country
side and get in touch with the local people
you will experience and enjoy much more
things than what’s written in this booklet.
Badung Regency is one of the 9 regencies
and municipality belong to Bali Province,
is located at the central - south of Bali
and it has different geographic condition.
Its southern part is an aride lime-stone
hilly peninsula surrounded by beaches facing
the Indian Ocean, while Central Badung is
a fertile wet low land suitable for rice
growing and horticulture and Northern Badung
is a green high land with average elevation
1000 meters above the sea level. Badung
Regency’s ten kilometers south coast are
mostly covered with clean white sandy beaches
with crystal clear sea water, very suitable
for swimming, surfing, recreation, water
sport and the like, on which the world famous
tourist destination are. located like Kuta
Beach Resort, Nusa Dua Beach Resort, Jimbaran
Beach, Tuban Beach, Legian Beach, Tanjung
Benoa Beach Resort and others.
Apart from that, Badung regency has also
various art and culture legacies as well
as natural beauty to offer such as: an ancient
Uluwatu Temple, Taman Ayun Royal Family
Temple, Puncak Mangu Temple, Puncak Sari
Temple amid the holy Monkey Forest Sangeh,
Nungnung Waterfall and rice terraces, Sedang-Angantaka,
village of wood carver and many others of
not less interesting.
Dear readers, the last Bali Bomb Tragedy,
has given us as very expensive lesson, but
now there is no more reason to worry visiting
Bali. Our government has worked along with
all community levels and security officer,
to lift-up our region’s security alertness
by improving the quality and quantity of
security officers and back-up with the more
sophisticated instruments and facilities.
